We invite you to join us online on Thursday 6th March, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for our Converging on Cancer International Seminar.
The CRUK Convergence Science Centre is a partnership between Imperial College London and The Institute of Cancer Research. In collaboration with our international partners we arrange a regular international seminar 'Converging on Cancer' on the topic of interdisciplinary cancer research. Our partners are
On the first Thursday of every other month, we bring together speakers from across these institutions to present their research and how they use convergence science to answer cancer-related questions.
Thursday 6th March, 10-11am GMT, 11-12pm CET, 6-7pm SGT
Prof Luis Arnes (BRIC, University of Copenhagen)
Title: Regulatory elements of pancreas development license the initiation of cancer
Prof Arnes will present our efforts to understand the induction, regulation, and resolution of cellular plasticity in the pancreas. We aim to discover therapeutic targets and transient cellular populations that enhance the organ's regenerative capacity and reduce disease progression.
Dr Marco Bezzi (ICR)
Title: Models and Tools for Prostate Cancer Experimental Evolution
Dr Marco Bezzi will talk about a new platform for prostate cancer mouse modelling and a new barcoding system for multidimensional clonal analysis.
Researchers, students and anyone with an interest in convergence science relating to cancer research across our partnered institutions are welcome to register:
