Converging on Cancer – Supporting Translation and Commercialisation

4 May 2022, 15:00 PM

Please join us for a special seminar on Wednesday 4th May, from 15.00-16.00, to hear from the Technology Transfer Offices of the ICR, Imperial College London and Cancer Research UK.

In this series of webinars brought to you by the Cancer Research UK Convergence Science Centre at Imperial College London and The Institute of Cancer Research, London, researchers across the two organisations will discuss key challenges facing cancer research and opportunities for new convergence science approaches to address these. Hosted by the Convergence Science Centre's Scientific Director Professor Axel Behrens, the series aims to support the Centre's mission to facilitate collaboration between traditionally separate and distinct disciplines to address challenges in cancer and bring pioneering treatments to cancer patients faster.

This time please join us for a special seminar on Wednesday 4th May, from 15.00-16.00, to hear from the Technology Transfer Offices of the ICR, Imperial College London and Cancer Research UK.

“Converging on Cancer – Technology Transfer Offices of ICR, Imperial and CRUK can support in your translation and commercialisation journey”

Come hear from representatives of the Business and Innovation Office team (BIO) at The ICR, CRUK Commercial Partnership Team and Imperial Industry Partnerships and Commercialisation Team about the services they offer to researchers to translate their research. The talk will focus on Intellectual Property, translational funding, how can you access it and what support is available to you and your team in developing your projects whether it is gathering Proof of Concept data or filing a patent.

BIO at the ICR acts as the technology and knowledge transfer hub for The Institute of Cancer Research, providing the experience and expertise to put in place a wide range of agreements between our scientists and industry.

Cancer Research UK’s Commercial Partnerships team, formerly known as Cancer Research Technology (CRT), develop and commercialise exciting new discoveries in cancer research.

The Imperial Industry Partnerships & Commercialisation (IPC) teams work to support Faculties in their interactions with industry and commercialisation activities. IPC drive development and execution of the business development and commercialisation strategy to maximise joint value across academia and industry.

The seminar will be held as a hybrid event simultaneously at the Convergence Science Centre (Seminar Room) and virtually on Zoom.
